Four Cats All-BRC soccer

Senior Nikko Zoller headlines a list of four Wildcats named to 2018 All-Big Rivers Conference teams by the conference coaches.

Zoller earned a spot on the 11-player first team while senior Connor Weinzirl was named to the second team and sophomore Owen Wise and junior Gage Espanet earned honorable mention.

Kolton Prater of 2018 BRC champion Hudson and goalkeeper Tyler Hanson of Eau Claire Memorial were named the conference co-players of the year.

River Falls finished fourth in the seven-team BRC with a conference record of 6-5-1. The Wildcats went 11-8-2 overall this year, nearly doubling their win total from a year ago in head coach Marcos Rodriguez's first season.

Bob Burrows

Bob Burrows has been sports editor at the River Falls Journal since 1996 and at the Hudson Star-Observer since 2009. Prior to joining the Journal, Burrows served as sports editor with Ledger Publications in Balsam Lake, Wis. A native of Bayonne, N.J. and a U.S. Navy veteran, Burrows attended Marquette University before completing his studies at UW-River Falls in 1992.
